ÖBB reservation discount

• What is the ÖBB reservation discount?

  Customers with an ÖBB reservation discount receive a 50% discount on seat reservations on national and international long-distance trains.

• Does the ÖBB reservation discount apply to both first and second class?

  Yes.

• Who can purchase the ÖBB reservation discount?

  You must be at least 15 years old and have an ÖBB Account to purchase the ÖBB Reservation Discount.

• How much does the reservation discount cost and how long is it valid for?

  The reservation discount is valid for 3 months and costs € 24.90. For customers with a valid Vorteilscard or a valid KlimaTicket Ö at the time of purchase (card number must be saved in your ÖBB Account), the reservation discount costs just € 19.90.

• Can I cancel my purchase of the reservation discount? Where can I find the form for cancelling the purchase of the reservation discount? Do I have to pay anything back if I cancel it?

  You can withdraw from your purchase of the reservation discount within 14 days of concluding the contract if you have purchased online or mobile and the cancellation is made within 14 days of ordering. This is only not possible if you purchase the Vorteilscard at a ticket desk. Any discounts used up to that point must be repaid.
  The 14-day period also applies if the reservation discount only becomes valid in the future (e.g. online purchase on 01.08.2024, start of validity on 20.08.2024, cancellation possible until 14.08.2024).

  Deadlines must be adhered to when cancelling a Vorteilscard. The refund will generally be made within 14 days of receipt of the cancellation notice. The refund will be issued to the same means of payment that you used for the purchase. Any discounts already used with the reservation discount will be deducted from the refund amount if the service was started at your request before the cancellation period expires.

• Can the reservation discount be cancelled or terminated?

  No, the reservation discount cannot be cancelled or terminated. You can only cancel the purchase within 14 days.
