• What changes will there be to the ÖBB Vorteilscards from 20 January 2025?

  We have made some changes to our range of products.

  For adults (aged 26 to 64), the Vorteilscard Classic is available for €71, which is now available online at shop.oebbtickets.at or in the ÖBB app, as well as at ÖBB ticket desks and ÖBB travel agencies.

  The digital-only Vorteilscard Comfort is also available for €86, which gives holders a 50% discount on ÖBB standard tickets for journeys within Austria and an additional 50% discount on seat reservations on national and international long-distance services. Here’s a money-saving tip for you: if you order a new Vorteilscard Comfort within the period of validity of your current Vorteilscard, you will receive it once at the reduced special price of only €76 instead of €86 if you purchase it through your ÖBB account in the app or online.
   
  The Vorteilscard Youth, Vorteilscard Family and Vorteilscard Senior are not affected by the changes.
  The Vorteilscard 66 will become the Vorteilscard Classic and can therefore no longer be purchased in its previous guise.
   
  The KlimaTicket Ö discount subscription is still available for KlimaTicket Ö customers. This gives you a 30% discount on upgrades to first class and a 50% discount on seat reservations. Until further notice, we are offering two free upgrades to first class as a bonus.

• What is happening to the reservation discount (offer from the anniversary year)?

  The reservation discount is now called the reservation advantage, but the conditions have not changed: you can still purchase the reservation advantage through your account and enjoy a 50% discount on long-distance seat reservations for 3 months.

• Are the anniversary products from ÖBB’s anniversary year still available?

  The Jubel products (anniversary year discounts and anniversary packs for the Klimaticket) are no longer available.
  These were special products that were offered on a one-off basis to mark the 100th anniversary of ÖBB.

• Are there any changes to the existing ÖBB Vorteilscards (66/Classic, Family, Youth, Senior?)

  The Vorteilscard 66 is no longer available.

• Which T&Cs will apply from 1 May 2024?

  New general terms and conditions for the Vorteilscard will apply from 1 May 2024. This version applies to all new or renewed Vorteilscard contracts concluded from 1 May 2024. For contracts concluded or renewed before this date, the GTCs on which the contract was signed will continue to apply.

  The recent changes primarily address necessary alterations arising from the new Vorteilscard Comfort and the clause on amendments to the GTC during the current contract. The provision now specifies the possible reasons for a change to the GTC and explains the procedure for doing so. The new version of our GTCs can be found in the fare conditions.

• Do I always have to be logged into my ÖBB Account when purchasing tickets in order for my Vorteilscard discount to be taken into account?

  No, you do not need to be logged in when purchasing tickets. We simply recommend booking tickets while logged in, as it is not necessary to enter a Vorteilscard number if the Vorteilscard is correctly stored in your ÖBB Account. If you do not have a Vorteilscard on file or are not logged in when booking, we will ask for the number when you purchase the ticket and you will have to enter it manually. Booking tickets while logged in via the app or online with a registered Vorteilscard is therefore the quickest and most convenient way to book tickets.

• How do I save my Vorteilscard number in my account?

  We recommend saving your Vorteilscard in your ÖBB Account. Simply open the ÖBB Ticket app, click on "My account" at the bottom right and then on "Saved discounts". Then simply select the appropriate Vorteilscard and enter the 16-digit number that is printed on your card. Your Vorteilscard will automatically be applied to future ticket purchases through your account, whether via the app or online.
