• What new products will be available from 1 May 2024?

  Two new and attractive products will be available from 1 May 2024: 
  In addition to the 50% discount on ÖBB standard tickets for routes within Austria, the Vorteilscard Comfort offers a 50% discount on all seat reservations on national and international long-distance services.
  From 1 May, KlimaTicket Ö customers can purchase the KlimaTicket Ö Vorteilsabo in advance. With the Vorteilsabo, you receive a 30% discount on an upgrade to first class and a 50% discount on seat reservations. As a bonus, there are two free upgrades to first class until further notice.

• What is happening to the reservation discount (offer from the anniversary year)?

  The reservation discount is now called the reservation advantage, but the conditions have not changed: you can still purchase the reservation advantage through your account and enjoy a 50% discount on long-distance seat reservations for 3 months.

• Is this (offer from the anniversary year) still available?

  The Vorteilscard Anniversary Package can only be purchased until 22/05/2024. The Vorteilscard Anniversary Package is valid until the expiry of the respective validity date (one year in total) and can therefore be used for the duration of the period of validity.

• Are there any changes to the existing ÖBB Vorteilscards (66/Classic, Family, Youth, Senior?)

  These products are still available. From 8 May 2024, only the Vorteilscard number must be provided when purchasing discounted ÖBB tickets in order to benefit from the discount. 

• Which T&Cs will apply from 1 May 2024?

  New general terms and conditions for the Vorteilscard will apply from 1 May 2024. This version applies to all new or renewed Vorteilscard contracts concluded from 1 May 2024. For contracts concluded or renewed before this date, the GTCs on which the contract was signed will continue to apply.

  The recent changes primarily address necessary alterations arising from the new Vorteilscard Comfort and the clause on amendments to the GTC during the current contract. The provision now specifies the possible reasons for a change to the GTC and explains the procedure for doing so. The new version of our GTCs can be found in the fare conditions.

• Do I always have to be logged into my ÖBB Account when purchasing tickets in order for my Vorteilscard discount to be taken into account?

  No, you do not need to be logged in when purchasing tickets. We simply recommend booking tickets while logged in, as it is not necessary to enter a Vorteilscard number if the Vorteilscard is correctly stored in your ÖBB Account. If you do not have a Vorteilscard on file or are not logged in when booking, we will ask for the number when you purchase the ticket and you will have to enter it manually. Booking tickets while logged in via the app or online with a registered Vorteilscard is therefore the quickest and most convenient way to book tickets.

• How do I save my Vorteilscard number in my account?

  We recommend saving your Vorteilscard in your ÖBB Account. Simply open the ÖBB Ticket app, click on "My account" at the bottom right and then on "Saved discounts". Then simply select the appropriate Vorteilscard and enter the 16-digit number that is printed on your card. Your Vorteilscard will automatically be applied to future ticket purchases through your account, whether via the app or online.
