Vorteilscard Comfort

• What are the advantages of the Vorteilscard Comfort?

  The Vorteilscard Comfort gives you a 50% discount on ÖBB standard tickets for routes within Austria and an additional 50% discount on seat reservations on national and international long-distance services. Since this is a digital advantage card, your Vorteilscard Comfort saved in your ÖBB Account is always conveniently available on your smartphone.

• From when can I buy a Vorteilscard Comfort?

  The offer is only available online in the ÖBB ticket shop or in the ÖBB app under "All products" from 1 May 2024. You need an ÖBB Account to purchase a Vorteilscard.  

• Where/how can I purchase a Vorteilscard Comfort?

  The Vorteilscard Comfort is only available online in the ÖBB ticket shop or in the ÖBB app under "All products". You need an ÖBB Account in order to purchase it.

• Who can purchase a Vorteilscard Comfort?

  Anyone can purchase a Vorteilscard Comfort, regardless of age. The only requirement before you can purchase one is that you have an ÖBB Account.

• How much does the Vorteilscard Comfort cost and how long is it valid for?

  The regular price of a Vorteilscard Comfort is €86.-. 

  For customers who already have a Vorteilscard and would like to switch to the Vorteilscard Comfort, the price is €76.-. 
  The Vorteilscard Comfort is valid for 12 months.

• You no longer receive a plastic card when you purchase a Vorteilscard Comfort: how do I provide evidence of my discount during a ticket inspection?

  Your Vorteilscard Comfort will be checked in the ÖBB app. Please have your smartphone ready for validation by the train attendant. You can find your Vorteilscard Comfort in your ÖBB Account under "My discounts".

• I already have an ÖBB Vorteilscard. Can I switch to the Vorteilscard Comfort?

  It is not possible to switch directly using the app or online. If you have purchased a different Vorteilscard in the last four months and would like to switch, please contact Customer Services.

  Otherwise, the easiest way to switch to a Vorteilscard Comfort is through your ÖBB Account: search for the Vorteilscard Comfort online or in the ÖBB app under "All products". When finalising your purchase, simply select the day after your existing Vorteilscard expires as the first day of validity of your Vorteilscard Comfort. • I still have the Vorteilscard Anniversary Package, but would like to buy the Vorteilscard Comfort. Can I switch over?

  It is not possible to switch directly. The easiest way to switch to a Vorteilscard Comfort is through your ÖBB Account: simply search for the Vorteilscard Comfort under "All products" either online or through the ÖBB app. When finalising your purchase, simply select the day after your existing Anniversary Package expires as the first day of validity of your Vorteilscard Comfort. • Can I combine a Vorteilscard Comfort with my KlimaTicket Ö?

  No, it is not possible to combine it with a KlimaTicket Ö. For holders of a KlimaTicket Ö, however, we offer the attractive KTÖ Subscription in our range of products with many compelling benefits.

• How can I renew my Vorteilscard Comfort when it expires?

  If you have selected SEPA direct debit as your payment method, you will receive an invitation to renew your contract approximately 2 months before it expires. Your Vorteilscard Comfort will be renewed automatically unless you object to the contract renewal in writing via oebb./contact or by post within 4 weeks of receiving the invitation to renew the contract. If you object to the contract renewal in writing within the deadline, there will be no new contract. You will be informed of the start of the objection period and the legal consequences of not exercising your right of objection in the invitation to renew the contract. 

  If you have selected a payment slip as your payment method, you will also receive a renewal offer from us by email in plenty of time before your Vorteilscard Comfort expires. The contract is automatically renewed if you pay the fee for the Vorteilscard Comfort within 4 weeks of receiving the invitation to renew the contract. If you do not pay the payment slip on time, you will not enter into a new contract.

• Is there a birthday promotion (free standard class travel on your birthday) with a Vorteilscard Comfort?

  Yes, the promotion is also valid with a Vorteilscard Comfort until cancelled.

• How do I take advantage of the special offer?

  The special offer price will be shown under "All products" if you have a Vorteilscard saved in your account. If you have any problems or questions, please contact Customer Services.

• Where can I find the new T&Cs?

  You can find our new General Terms and Conditions for the ÖBB Vorteilscard in the fare conditions.

• Where does the discount apply to seat reservations?

  You are entitled to a 50% discount on seat reservations on national & international daily services.

• In the future I will have to provide my Vorteilscard number every time I buy a ticket - is that right?

  Yes, from the start of sales of the Vorteilscard Comfort on 1 May 2024 and for all other Vorteilscards from 8 May 2024, you will be asked for your Vorteilscard number when purchasing tickets. It can easily be saved in your customer account in the ÖBB app. When purchasing at a ticket desk, this number must be given to the sales agent.
