How can I open an ÖBB Business Account?
You can create an ÖBB Business Account at tickets.oebb.at after entering your details. This triggers a check by our Customer Service team to verify your company details.

When can I start booking tickets through my ÖBB Business Account?
You can immediately book tickets at your individual rates in your ÖBB Business Account. Only the business rates and payment by invoice feature will not be activated until after the verification process if complete.

How can my employees book tickets using our ÖBB Business Account?
As soon as you have registered your company, you can enter details of your company structure and employees in the system. Once they have been registered, each employee will initially receive a link by email that needs to be confirmed, giving them access to the ÖBB Business Account.

Can any employee make administrative changes?
No. Only those employees who have been defined as admin can also edit the structure, means of payment, etc.

Can one admin always administer all of the business units?
No. Employees with admin rights can only administer the business units below them, depending on where they are listed as an admin.

What payment options can I choose from in the new ÖBB Business Account?
Business accounts allow the following payment methods: payment on account, online bank transfer, credit card, AirPlus and PayPal.

How long is a business fare ticket valid for?
A ticket purchased at business rates is valid for 2 days – on the specified day of validity and the following day.
For journeys within the following regions, the validity is reduced to 1 day, although it is possible to travel until 3.00 am on the following day:- Carinthia
- Upper Austria
- Eastern Region with Vienna, Lower Austria and the Burgenland
- Salzburg
- Styria
- Tyrol
- Vorarlberg.

Can I, as someone with an international company, also create an ÖBB Business Account?
Yes, you can indeed create an ÖBB Business Account for an overseas company.

What percentage discount do I get when I buy a ticket with a Vorteilscard in my ÖBB Business Account?
A Vorteilscard gives you a 50% discount on top of your ÖBB Business Account.

Can I travel in Business Class or a Business Compartment at a discount or free with my ÖBB Business Account?
No, you do not get discounted access to Business Class or a Business Compartment for less or for free.

Can tickets for international destinations or couchette/sleeper cars be booked through the ÖBB Business Account?
Yes, all available destinations can be booked either at an ÖBB ticket desk or online at shop.oebbtickets.at.

How much does a seat reservation cost in first class and standard class?
In the ÖBB Business Account, a seat reservation in both first and standard class costs €3.-; it is €3.50 if purchased at the counter or from the Customer Service team.

Can I purchase other ÖBB products through an ÖBB Business Account?
You can book discounted tickets and reservations (standard class, first class, Business Compartments, Business Class) online.
Tickets to many domestic and international destinations as well as alternative rail offers - e.g. group travel or various special offer tickets - can also be booked at an ÖBB ticket desk.
Please book group journeys at a ticket desk and pay by transaction number (TAN) using your ÖBB Business Account.

Can I buy tickets for the City Airport Train (CAT) in my ÖBB Business Account?
No, you cannot buy a ticket for the City Airport Train (CAT) using your ÖBB Business Account.

What do I need in order to book a ticket at the desk using the ÖBB Business Account?
The admin of your business unit must create a TAN in your ÖBB Business Account, which you can then use to carry out a one-off transaction at the counter. The TAN is then deleted and is no longer displayed in the business account.

Who can generate a TAN?
Only the admin of your company can generate a TAN.

What is the TAN procedure used for?
A TAN is used to establish that the person making the booking at the desk belongs to the company. It serves as a form of authentication.

Is the TAN recorded in the report or on the invoice?
Currently, the TAN is not recorded and the passenger does not need to be identified when booking at the ticket desk.

Is there a way to assign the redeemed TAN to a booking?
This option is not yet available. However, you can use the Notes box for this - unless you use it differently - where employees can enter the name of the passenger or the TAN themselves, for example.

For how long is a ticket valid that was purchased through an ÖBB Business Account but at an ÖBB ticket desk?
A desk ticket is valid for 2 days. If the return journey is booked at the same time, a travel date for the return journey must be specified.

Can online tickets be cancelled?
As long as the ticket has not yet been purchased and it is a Business fare ticket, it can be cancelled free of charge up to one day before the first day of validity. Once the ticket has been purchased, it can no longer be cancelled.

When are tickets booked through an ÖBB Business Account billed?
- Invoicing: monthly retrospectively, around the 10th day of the following month.
- Airplus account: Airplus invoices your company in the usual, contractually agreed cycle. (The settlement between Airplus and ÖBB does not affect your invoice).

What do I do if I have lost my login details for my ÖBB Business Account and how can I close it?
Click on the "Forgot password" button to receive an e-mail with instructions on how to reset your password. Once you have logged into the ÖBB Business Account, you can close the Business Account under "My account" - Account settings. You must be authorised as an administrator to do this. The password must be entered before the account can be closed.

Yes, of course.

Is it possible to create a PDF invoice?
Yes: in the new ÖBB Business account, admins can specify which form of invoice is required - PDF invoice or paper invoice. This can also vary for each business unit (separate invoice node).
