What is the Einfach-Raus-Ticket?
The "Einfach-Raus-Ticket" is a day network ticket for short journeys on local and regional transport for groups of 2-5 people.

What versions of the ‘Einfach-Raus-Ticket’ are available?
There is the "Einfach-Raus-Ticket" for 2 to 5 people and the "Einfach-Raus-Radticket" for 2 to 5 people including bicycles.

Does the ‘Einfach-Raus-Ticket’ also apply to children?
Yes, the ticket is valid for between 2 and 5 people regardless of age.

Which trains is the ticket valid for?
The "Einfach-Raus-Ticket" is valid in Austria on ÖBB and Raaberbahn R, CJX, REX and S-Bahn trains. These are local and regional trains. Journeys involving travel within the Vorarlberg public transport network are excluded.
The ‘Einfach-Raus-Ticket’ is not valid on long-distance trains or on private railways (except the Raaberbahn).

When and for how long is the "Einfach-Raus-Ticket" valid?
The "Einfach-Raus-Ticket" is only valid on the day of travel indicated on the ticket. You can travel with this ticket on working days (Monday to Friday) from 9.00 am to 3.00 am on the following day. At weekends and public holidays, this ticket is valid all day (from the first available connection) until 3.00 a.m. on the following day. Please note that the current day is always preset when booking tickets in the ticket shop. If you would like to travel on a different day, change the validity date of your ‘Einfach-Raus-Ticket’ in the top left-hand corner.

Our train leaves the departure station shortly before 9 am on a weekday. The few minutes don’t matter, do they?
If you start your journey before 9.00 a.m. on a working day between Monday and Friday, you will need to buy another ticket to the first stop at which your train stops after 9.00 a.m.

Why is the "Einfach-Raus-Ticket" only valid from 9 am during the week?
Most commuters and schoolchildren travel before 9 am on weekdays. To ensure that you can start your trip in comfort, the validity period only begins after this rush hour.

Our last train doesn’t arrive at the destination station until after 3 am. Is the "Einfach-Raus-Ticket" still valid?
No, if you end your journey after 3.00 am, you will need another ticket from the last stop at which your train stops before 3.00 am.

Can I cancel my "Einfach-Raus-Ticket"?
You can cancel the ticket free of charge before the first day on which it is valid, provided it has not yet been purchased as a PDF. Original tickets purchased at a ticket desk or ticket machine must be submitted in order to be refunded. Please use the contact form to contact our Customer Service team about a cancellation.

Is it possible to change the number of passengers after the tickets have been booked?
No. However, you can cancel a ticket booked in accordance with our Conditions of Carriage and book a new one with the amended number of passengers.

How does travelling with a bike work with an "Einfach-Raus-Radticket"?
Provided there are enough free spaces, you can take your bikes on to any train on which the ticket is valid. More information about travelling with a bike.

Is the "Einfach-Raus-Ticket" also valid on buses?
No, the offer only applies on trains operating our local and regional services and on the Raaberbahn.

How far in advance can we buy our "Einfach-Raus-Ticket"?
The "Einfach-Raus-Ticket" is available 6 months in advance. If the timetable for the new timetable year has not yet been published, you can only buy tickets until the end of the current timetable year.
A tip from us: there is no limit to how soon before travelling you can buy the ticket. You can even do this on the day that you want to travel. This means you don’t have to cancel if your plans change at short notice.

How many times can we change trains with an "Einfach-Raus-Ticket"?
As many times as you like. With this ticket you can travel as often as you like within the validity period, no matter in which direction.

Which categories of ticket does the "Einfach-Raus-Ticket" apply to?
This ticket is only available for standard (2nd) class, as there is no first class on local and regional trains.

Can I book a ticket for other people?
In principle, yes. When booking, please ensure that you enter the name of one person who is part of the group and travelling with you. This person will need a photo ID in the event of a ticket inspection.

The "Einfach-Raus-Ticket" is only available for 2 people in the ticket shop. What do I have to do if I want to travel with 3 or more people?
Click on "Who is travelling?" in the top right-hand corner and add the correct number of adults (maximum 5 people in total).

You can buy multiple "Einfach-Raus-Tickets" to suit the number of people in your group.
