How can I find connections to buses, trams or underground trains?
By default, all available means of transport are taken into account when searching for a transport connection.
All means of public transport are incorporated: trains, intercity bus routes, underground trains, urban bus routes, trams and certain boat connections. The system can currently use the following timetables to generate a route for your journey:
- Train (Europe-wide)
- Postbus (throughout Austria)
- All public transport networks in the provinces and state capitals
- Parts of the urban transport system in Bratislava
The system also includes the complete timetable data for urban transport services in the federal capitals of Graz and Innsbruck.
Only the timetable information for some private bus routes in Tyrol is still missing. We are still working to integrate them.
-
Why is means of transport X from provider Y not displayed?
ÖBB uses information supplied by other providers (third parties). ÖBB has no say on when the data are supplied or the quality of the data. In some cases, however, this information is unfortunately not available.

To do this, click on the "Map" button next to the "From" and "To" input fields. You can specify your starting point on the map that appears. The map also allows you to zoom in and out. Left click on the map and choose "Select location as start/destination". The location you have clicked on will then be saved.

Can I board the train right up to the scheduled departure time?
Shortly before departure, the train crew will prepare the train for departure to ensure that it leaves on time. We therefore recommend boarding at least 1-2 minutes before the train is due to depart. Once the train has been dispatched, the doors can no longer be opened, even if in some cases the train remains at the platform for a few seconds.
