The journey from Vienna to Schladming takes just under 4 hours, departing every 2 hours and with a change at Leoben. Direct express trains run all year round from Vienna to Schladming on Fridays and back from Schladming to Vienna on Sundays.
There are direct EC/IC trains from Graz and Salzburg every 2 hours and passengers travelling from Linz are advised to change at Selzthal to reach Schladming.
