The "Winter Generation" in SalzburgerLand
It feels so wonderful to share the special moments in life with others: A trip to a mountain hut with friends, a toboggan ride with the kids, a romantic winter weekend for two. In SalzburgerLand, people are truly in love with winter and pass this passion down from generation to generation.
The first ski school was opened here in 1923, the Alpine World Ski Championships took place in Bad Gastein in 1958 as the very first live TV broadcast of a sporting event, and the World Championships followed in Saalbach Hinterglemm in 1991.
"In 2025, SalzburgerLand will once again be hosting a world ski championship competition: the FIS Alpine World Ski Championships Saalbach - one of this winter's biggest events!"
Come and be part of the fun - it's set to be a thrilling, spectacular and exciting event!
See you soon in SalzburgerLand!
