S-Bahn lines in Vorarlberg
Line S1 / R1 / REX1
- Bludenz - Lindau
The S1 takes you from the Alpine city of Bludenz to Lindau by the Swabian Sea in approximately 60 minutes. All important local transport hubs such as Bregenz, Dornbirn and Feldkirch are located along the route.
Line S2 / R2
- Feldkirch - Buchs
Up to 11 pairs of trains run daily on the 19 km route, connecting Austria with Liechtenstein and Switzerland. An S-Bahn connection is currently being planned (FL.A.CH Project).
Line S3
- Bregenz - St. Margrethen
The trip from Bregenz to the important local transport hub Lustenau takes only 11 minutes. From the border station St. Margrethen, you continue on to St. Gallen and the international airport in Zurich.

Lamprechtshausen - Salzburg Hauptbahnhof (SLB)
On the entire route between Lamprechtshausen and Salzburg Central Station, the S1 runs at half-hourly intervals every day. -
Line S4
Berchtesgaden - Freilassing (BLB)
On the entire route between Berchtesgaden and Freilassing, the S4/Berchtesgadener Land Bahn runs at hourly intervals every day. -
Line S11
Ostermiething - Bürmoos (SLB)
On the route between Ostermiething and Bürmoos, the S11 generally runs at hourly intervals. During certain times, the offering is supplemented with additional connections to/from Salzburg.
